A little bit about me.

I’m Tony Wolfe, a lifelong Gippslander running as an Independent for Narracan in the upcoming State Election. I was born in Morwell, where I grew up the son of Dairy Farmers, and have lived in Warragul for the past 25 years. I raised my three kids here, and now have the privilege of watching my grandchildren grow within this same incredible community.

I’m an Electrician by trade, and have worked in the coal-fired power industry in the Latrobe Valley for over four decades. I am committed to preserving our environment by leading this workforce and our community towards renewable transition. I am currently the Vice Chair of the Gippsland Climate Change Network, Committee Member of the Regional Development Australia - Gippsland Committee, sit on the Governance Committee for the Gippsland Community Power Hub, and hold community advisory roles for both the Star of the South Wind Farm and the Delburn Wind Farm.

I’ve always been community-minded, from being President of my kids’ Primary School Council and Junior Football Club, to my time as Baw Baw Shire Councillor and Deputy Mayor. I’ve developed my leadership capacity through completing the Gippsland Community Leadership Program, the Australian Rural Leadership Program, and subsequently the Australian Institute of Company Directors Governance Training. I served as a Board Member of the West Gippsland Hospital for six years, and more recently co-founded and chaired Voices for Monash: an independent community group seeking to elevate the voices of Gippslanders to parliament.

I’m a proud volunteer Camp Leader at Camp Quality, and a cancer survivor myself. I understand fully the importance of giving back to our community, and the positive impact that this has on your health, wellbeing, and connectedness.

I know what it takes to genuinely serve my community. Narracan is full of people with incredible insights into what it is that makes our region so special, and how we can continue to protect what is great about our community as we grow. As your elected Independent member, I will elevate the voices of all individuals, families, and communities - so that we can all continue to be proud of this place we call home.
